Summary:

The LBA / South American Data Collection is a group of datasets which support the Large Scale Biosphere-Atmosphere Experiment in Amazonia (LBA) and other studies of South American extent. Example datasets include NDVI, Land Cover, and Soils. The spatial resolution and time periods covered vary by dataset, and the data come from multiple sources. Please refer to Table 1 for specifics of the current Datasets & Variables within this Collection. Additional information is provided within the dataset and variable notes when using the EOS-WEBSTER Search & Retrieve tool.

# Data which have a temporal scale of "snapshot" represent either data taken at a point in time, or an average over the period described in the Temporal Range column. Therefore, data in EOS-WEBSTER which is described as a "snapshot" consists of only a single map of the variable.

Spatial & Temporal Scales

These data are gridded in the geographic coordinate system. Cell sizes vary by Variable and range between 0.0083 degrees (~1 km when projected) and 1.0 degrees. The data cover an area which represents the LBA study region (the Amazon Basin) or South America. The NOAA/NASA Pathfinder NDVI dataset also includes global gridded data. Most data in this Collection represent a snapshot in time for the period covered by the individual dataset.

See Table 1 for specifics.
